Barcelona`s Glory Road

Since departure of Pep Guardiola Barcelona FC makes a record breaking season. The new coach made it possible without any major changes in the squad. Barcelona is on the top of Spanish division without losing any game. The Catalan team is on the winning streak with 16 wins and a draw. The last match against the second placed Atletico Madrid was significant for all the Barcelona season. The win was huge 4-1, but the main spot was on the team`s spirit and of course Messi. The Argentinean forward is unstoppable, scoring two of the goals in the match.
Tito Villanova lets his players to do whatever they can on the pitch, with less tactical tasks. That’s why many people say that Barcelona has changed nothing since Pep`s period. The football is the same old with many passes and it seemed that all teams in Europe know very well the Barcelona way of play. Well, it seemed… Because when you have football giants in the squad like Xavi and Messi everything seems possible. Barcelona made the best year in its history so far, breaking a lot of records and shut all the critics about the manner of play arranged by the new coach.
Is Barcelona heading for another ground breaking triumphs in Spain and Europe?! Time will tell, but people still remember the old times and looks like they are used to such Barcelona wins. Barcelona can win against any team in the world and there is no stop for the Catalan machine. The only thing that could stop Barcelona is… Barcelona. The players know how to win important matches and it seems that the new coach has found a new and winning way to motivate his golden squad.
Barcelona is back for revenge and time looks right for new triumphs.

Real, Too Real

Real Madrid is experiencing some troubles in the end of year. Any credits for team`s wins and losses goes out to Mourinho. The president of the team backs up the manager, but Portuguese specialist announced already that this season could be his last as a head coach of Real Madrid. He wants to end it with dignity as his ambitions are for the Champions League, a tournament which seems reserved for Jose.
Real Madrid has lost some of its shun and the governing body of the club wants to prevent team`s free fall in the world rankings. Real lost few seasons in Europe and many people feel that time for changes at Santiago Bernabeu has come. Jose Mourinho was desired option for Madridistas and their desire to get on the top of the world. Since first Real`s games under Mou`s coaching, most of Real fans feel uneasy watching their favorite team to defend at Bernabeu. The Portuguese manager has a specific soccer philosophy, which is good for teams like Porto and Inter, but for fans which like to call their team a ` galactic` is somehow unacceptable.
Last year Mourinho managed to win the Spanish League and made some new records for the club`s history. But what people in Madrid crave- the Champions League triumph was `mission impossible` for the boys in white. This year Jose promises more focus on the European matches and thus it seems that Real gave up the Spanish title as the team is 13 points behind their greatest rival- Barcelona FC. As a good tournament fighter Mou would probably boost his players for the important matches in Europe and couple of wins against Barcelona could ease Madridistas hearts.
A failure could cause hiatus in Real, as Mou and probably Ronaldo will departure from Madrid.

A Journey into Spanish Football

Spanish League is one of the most interesting championships in the world. For years it is all about the rivalry between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Today the rivalry gets a political taste, due to separatist`s desire in Catalan, as most of the people there want independence from Spain. The clashes between Real Madrid and Barcelona are called El Clasico and are known as the most vigorous and awaited derbies in the history of football. It is more than a sport; it is more political and matter of domestic pride. There is a song among the Barcelona fans in which they sing `This is how Real wins`, regarding the history of the `white ballet`. Among the people of Barcelona, Real Madrid used to be and still is the club of the King of Spain, and thus the team is tolerated by the referees and Spanish Federation.
Last matches of Barcelona show that Catalan team has got into the Real`s shoes, as some poor referring were done in Barcelona`s favor. Many fans believe that Barcelona is a team that gets more boosts from the UEFA ruling body. It will be interesting to see the next match between Barcelona and Real Madrid in Europe as both teams have a lot of support not only from the fans worldwide, but mostly from highly ranked ex-footballers and social figures.
Among the great Spanish clubs stands Atletico Madrid, a team without huge selection and ambitions. Well, the team is ranked 2nd in the Spanish League and looks forward in the future. The team is young and perspective and it would be interesting to follow its matches in Europe next year. If the team has players like Falcao nothing seems impossible for the club. The win against Chelsea was just a beginning…
